Makarora Field Camp

The Aspiring Biodiversity Trust organized an amazing nature camp at the start of January 2024. Species ranged from our unique birds like Wrybill, Tui, and New Zealand Falcon, all the way to colourful native moths and Huhu beetles.

We did lots of conservation work. Some examples include pest control, bird banding, tracking tunnels to detect movement of pests, and much more.
